First Aid
A minor injury or low blood pressure can quickly call for treatment. It’s all the better if you know where to get it.
With over six million visitors each year, it goes without saying that every now and then someone needs treatment for a minor ailment or even a serious injury. Since 2004, the Oktoberfest’s first-aid station has been located in the service center behind the Schottenhamel Festhalle. Minor surgical procedures for wound care can also be performed there.
To provide assistance as quickly as possible across the large festival grounds, three additional first-aid stations have been set up and are available during peak hours. The North Station is located near the Theresienwiese subway station. In the eastern part of Theresienwiese, help is available at the Matthias-Pschorr-Straße/Esperantoplatz entrance (near the toboggan run). At the Oidn Wiesn, there is also a first-aid station near the Velodrom.
After more than 130 years during which the Bavarian Red Cross provided medical care at the Oktoberfest, the first-aid station at Theresienwiese has been managed by Aucher Ambulanz since 2018.
