Anyone looking to pick up a small gift for those back home, for themselves, or for their remarkably friendly tablemates will have a hard time choosing from the vast selection at the Wiesn. Souvenirs are sold by street vendors, at booths inside the tents, and at countless souvenir stands lining the streets. Inside the tents, you can often find items specific to individual breweries or tents. For example, many tent owners release their own annual tent mug every year. All tent owners also jointly sell their “Landlords’ Annual Mug.” Even the smaller Oktoberfest tent owners have now adopted this tradition, selling their own interpretation of a beer mug. The top-selling mug, however, is and remains the official Oktoberfest mug, which is decorated with the respective Oktoberfest poster. The city also sells many other items featuring this design.

In addition to the mugs, gingerbread hearts also enjoy unwavering popularity. Unfortunately, these have become so popular that the traditionally red Munich chocolate hearts are now threatened with extinction.

Of course, a souvenir stand wouldn’t be a souvenir stand if it didn’t also cater to those with less refined tastes. All sorts of outerwear, beer barrel hats, flashing hearts… Anyone who wants to stand out can stock up on the necessary gear here.
